The ROOTT Implant BASAL Solution
The challenge lies in predictably achieving immediate functional loading in patients presenting with severe height and width deficient bone , often requiring the surgical complexity of bypassing the mandibular nerve or anchoring in highly dense, resorbed ridges. Traditional implants are Bio-mechanically compromised in such extreme atrophic ridges.
ROOTT BASAL implants are specialized, one-piece implants designed specifically for resorbed ridges and immediate loading. Their unique structural characteristics allow for predictable placement in height and width deficient bones , offering an immediate solution for multiple unit restorations across the upper and lower jaws.
Basal Biomechanical Principles
The ROOTT BASAL system is built on a specialized design that maximizes cortical engagement and offers distinct prosthetic flexibility.
Conometric Connection (One-Piece Design)
The implant utilizes a one-piece design with the abutment integrated. The abutment slope angle is adjustable up to 15∘ relative to the implant axis, accommodating placement angulation.
Polished Neck Design
The long polished bendable neck features a polished surface that is intended to protect from the accumulation of bacteria at the cervical part of the implant , offering excellent protection from inflammation around the implant.
Basal Thread Geometry (Hybrid Design)
The structural characteristics allow for placement in height and width deficient bones. It is used for engagement of the Dense Basal cortical bone at the fusion of the pterygoid with the maxilla and can be used to bypass the mandibular nerve. It is ideal for resorbed ridges.
Biocompatible Surface
Available with Different surfaces: Polished, sandblasted, and anodized. The BASAL SS variant features a Surface Treated basal implant.
Predictability in Advanced Atrophy
Graftless Capability
Enables complex reconstructions, including engagement of the pterygoid with the maxilla, allowing the clinician to bypass the mandibular nerve and avoid extensive augmentation.
Immediate Function
Supports immediate loading protocols for multiple unit restorations.
Surgical Flexibility
Allows for both flap and flapless placement techniques and can be placed in extraction sockets and in healed bone.
Prosthetic Alignment
The abutment direction can be manually adjusted up to 15∘ relative to the implant axis, which is crucial for managing non-parallel placement in complex cases.
Dimensional Range
ROOTT BASAL implants are offered in a wide range of sizes , with lengths from 8 mm to 26 mm and diameters from Ø3.5 mm to Ø10.5 mm.
Prosthetic Solutions
ROOTT BASAL implants are compatible with a variety of prosthetic solutions , including Cementless Conometric titanium caps and burn-out parts for straight or angulated restorations (15∘,25∘).
Instrument System
Supported by Smart instrument sets , including a Universal set consisting of minimum drills for use with any implant type or size in the ROOTT implant system.
Combination Therapy
Can be used in combination with Compressive implants in accordance with the FILO concept (Flapless surgery, Immediate Loading, One-piece implants).
Extreme Atrophy Capability
Ideal for resorbed ridges and implantation in height and width deficient bones, including advanced techniques like pterygoid engagement.
Immediate & Flexible Loading
Supports immediate loading in both healed bone and extraction sockets.
Prosthetic Freedom
Offers manual abutment adjustment up to 15∘ to manage severe angulation issues, simplifying the path to the final restoration.
Enhanced Hygiene
The polished surface on the long neck protects against bacteria accumulation, offering enhanced protection from inflammation.
